Telugu Warriors create history, first hatrick win in CCL


The Celebrity Cricket League Match this weekend witness some record breaking events. Telugu Warriors has created history by winning a match for a consecutive third time in CCL 2.

Playing against Bengal Tigers, Telugu Warriors played brilliantly on the field. Putting them into bat after winning the toss, Telugu Warriors restricted Bengal Tigers to 102-9 in 20 overs.

Ruban was the highest scorer for Bengal Tigers with 29 runs.

In response, Telugu Warriors smashed Bengal Tigers in just 15.4 overs. Vishwa was the highest scorer with 40 off 43 balls.

Raghu was declared MAN OF THE MATCH for his spell of 3-17. Incidently it was his birthday.

CCL 2 - Telugu Warriors smash Kerala Strikers



In the first CCL match this weekend, Telugu Warriors has won against Kerala Strikers with 9 wickets. After winning the toss, Telugu Warriors captain Venkatesh chose to field.

Batting first Kerala Strikers scored 94-9 in 20 Overs. Nivin Pauly was the highest scorer with 41 off 58 balls. Telugu Warriors bowlers Charan Teja took 3 wickets and Nanda Kishore took 4 wickets.

In response Telugu Warriors smashed Kerala Strikers by achieving the target in just 15.1 overs losing only 1 wicket. Aadarsh was the highest scorer with 52 runs.

Nanda Kishore who took 4 wickets for Telugu Warriors was declared the MAN OF THE MATCH.

CCL2 - Telugu Warriors beat Karnataka Bulldozers


After Chennai Rhinos won over Kerala Strikers in the first match on Saturday, the second match took place between Telugu Warriors and Karnataka Bulldozers.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Karnataka Bulldozers scored 147 in 20 overs.

In reply, Telugu Warriors achieved the target with 14 balls remaining. Charan Teja scored 63 runs off 45 balls.

Telugu Warriors won by 4 wickets.

CCL 2 - Opening match ends in a draw


The Celebrity Cricket League - Season II got off to a thrilling opener with the Telugu warriors and Mumbai Heroes match ending in a draw.

The opening ceremony started off with a power packed performance by the 'Dhinka Chika' fame Devi Sri Prasad and Atif Aslam. Then it was the time for all the teams to take the center stage along with their owners, captains and brand ambassadors. The founder and Managing Director of CCL Mr.Vishnuvardhan Induri declared the start of season II . The toss was won by the Telugu Warriors captain Venkatesh, who selected to bat.

The Telugu Warriors lost an early wicket with the dismissal of Tarakratna who was bowled by Sunny Singh, after which Akhil Akinneni went on to hit a half century before he was dismissed by the captain of Mumbai Heroes Suniel Shetty.

The Telugu Warriors set a total of 167 runs for the Mumbai Heroes. The Mumbai heroes also lost an early wicket with Angad Bedi being bowled by Akhil for a duck, but a 104 partnership by Varun Badola and Raja Bherwani saw them through. But the game ultimately ended in a tie. The points were shared 1-1 by both the teams. The man of the match was shared by Varun Badola and Akhil Akinneni.

CCL 2 kicks off at Sharjah

As promised, Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) season II is living up to the expectations that it would be Bigger and Better.
The CCL opening match commenced at Sharjah today (January 13) after the opening ceremony that saw performances by Atif Aslam, Devi Sri Prasad and many more artists.
All the matches will be telecasted on SUN Network.
Chennai Rhinos Matches on Sun TV
Telugu Warriors Matches on Gemini TV
Karnataka Bulldozers Matches on Udaya TV
Kerala Strikers Matches on Surya TV
Mumbai Heroes Matches on Sahara One and
Bengal Tigers Matches on ETV Bangla.
The Semis and Finals will be telecasted on all the channels.
The matches will then shift to Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Kolkatta and Hyderabad.
All the matches promise a festive atmosphere with a big star line up and some scintillating performance by top actresses and performers at every venue with lots of cricketing action.  
All the matches will be telecasted live on YouTube.
The final match will be played in Hyderabad on February 12.
